Discussion with Director Projects ING Vysya Foundation

The meeting with Director Project of ING Vysya Foundation Ms Joyatri Ray, was coordinated through a bacth mate Mr Srinivas Batchu.

Meeting between Ms Joyatri Ray and Roopa Sankaran (Founder Volunteer of Clean and Green) was conducted on 5 Feb 2010 in the ING Vysya Office on MG Road.

Presentation on the proposal for ING Vysaya Foundation to fund the employing of cleaning staff to maintain and clean the picnic spots within Reserve Forests was provided.

Ms Joyatri Ray appreciated the need for maintenance of the Forest areas that are vulnerable to littering, and found merit in the proposal which would postively impact the lives of the locals. The concern expressed was about the involvement of the Foundation in directly funding "salaries" for the cleaning staff - as this would mean a change in the mandate of the Foundation.

Despite the reservations Ms Ray has kindly taken up the issue with the Trustees of the ING Vysya Foundation. Quoting from her mail, the Trustees require time to think the proposal through, as it requires a change in mandate.
